St. John’s Wort
has been used for centuries for the treatment of depressive symptoms.
Its side effects are mild, occurring at a lower frequency than other
antidepressants. * Current clinical studies show that St. John’s Wort
provides an array of benefits, such as:
- assists in maintaining and
modulating the mind’s perception of happiness. *
- nutritionally supports a
person’s feelings of general well-being. *
- may assist in maintaining a
person’s normal, healthy moods. *
Vitamin C,
an antioxidant, helps fight against infections, blood and skin disorders,
aging disorders, bruising, and allergies. †
Vitamin B6,
aids in the maintenance of muscle, and plays an important part in the
actions of steroid hormones. †
We’ve also added Folate (folic acid),
shown to be effective in preventing heart attacks by lowering
homocysteine levels. †
Vitamin B12
is valuable in the rejuvenation of body and mind. †
Chromium
has significant biological effects in the body in allowing the hormone
insulin to control blood sugar levels and many other aspects of
carbohydrate breakdown and storage in the body, and also directs much of
the metabolism involving fat, protein and energy. †
L-Tyrosine,
an important neurotransmitter precursor, is essential for proper brain
chemistry and the function of thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. It
has also show positive results in controlling anxiety and may relieve
allergies and headaches. †
L-Glutamine
has been used to treat mental retardation,
epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, muscular dystrophy and alcoholism. It
improves mental alertness, clarity of thinking and mood, and helps
transport potassium into the spinal fluid. †
L-Phenylalanine
is another amino acid found in our St. John’s Wort. Amino acids are the
building blocks of proteins and vital components of skin, hair, muscle
tissue, the body’s organs, blood cells, enzymes and various hormones. †
